eduKenya.com has just concluded the first ever education and career expo.
This one of a kind event in this part of the country took two days - the
13th and 14th of April. It was a one-stop shop for any one who was looking
for a convenient college to be admitted. All the big names had come down
to the capital of North Rift; Eldoret. The institutions that participated

The expo sought to bring together who is who in the world
of academia with the singular purpose of enlightening the public on the
opportunities available in education. Top on the agenda: tackling issues
pertaining scholarships, educational opportunities available in Kenya
and abroad, help on deciding on future careers, changing careers, how
to write that winning C.V, Job interview tips, Career Counseling and Academic
advising amongst other activities.
During the expo, most people flocked at the career guidance and counseling
department with hope of sampling varied professional views from professionals
present. In an economy like ours, career guidance and counseling would
play an invaluable role in equipping the learners with information regarding
the options and expectations of the job market.
Besides attendance by the general public, the expo was graced by the presence
of the Assistant Minister for Planning and National development, Hon.
Ekwee Ethuro amongst other dignitaries from the Education Ministry. If
I may sum up the event in a word, it was an accomplishment. An accomplishment
of the VISION. To all who made this event successful – a big THANK
